Career Highlights

There are so many things that I am proud of accomplishing during my time as principal so far that it would be impossible to capture all of them here. With that being said, below are a few highlights from my career so far

Academics

  • Increased student performance across all subjects and grade levels

  • Grew by 7 composite points in 25-26 school year

  • Incorporated PLCs, data walls, and prescriptive planning

  • Implemented a MTSS Team to track student data Year-to-Year for remediation, intervention and referrals

School Wide Culture

  • Decreased suspension rates & implemented restorative practices

  • Increased staff morale with Sunshine Club, monthly events, and other special occasions

  • Reduced Turnover Rate

  • Introduced student-led data talks and conferences 

  • Implemented student clubs, including Boys to Men, Girls’ Club, Bucket Drums, Fitness, and STEAM/Art

  • Integrated EC students into cultural fabric so that all students feel like they are a part of the school

  • Implemented live morning announcements to build student and staff morale and set high expectations

  • Implemented student/staff of the month

Community Involvement

  • Won multiple grants, including:

    • Whirlpool washer and dryer

    • $20,000 for Clothes and Supply Closet

    • School Spirit Mural

    • $20,000 for technology, library books and benches/tables. 

  • Increased parent involvement and PTA membership

Personal Development

  • Completed Internship with CCS School Support Team

  • Attended Space Camp for Educators as part of the StarWard STEM program

  • Graduated from Distinguished Leadership in Practice  

  • Served on Superintendent’s Principal Advisory Council

  • Served on the Strategic Planning Steering Committee

  • Presenting on NCEES documentation at PLN

  • Serve as an AP mentor for LEAD
